Seamless Integration with Microsoft Project 2000TM

Using Cubic Project Management, project-driven manufacturers can take advantage of the enterprise project management and web-based labor reporting capabilities of Microsoft Project while maintaining full integration with internal accounting and financial reporting systems. Projects and quotes can be built using Microsoft Project and then downloaded to create corresponding projects and work breakdown structures within Cubic Project Management. Cubic ERP delivers and supports two-way integration between Microsoft Project and Cubic Project Management, allowing project managers to use the graphical scheduling and reporting tools of Microsoft Project while maintaining real-time visibility and commitment control over downstream ERP processes.

External Object Manager

The Cubic External Object Manager is a facility for managing and distributing engineering documentation. The External Object Manager can be used as a stand-alone document management or PLM system or, when integrated with other PLM systems, the External Object Manager enables document access and visibility across the entire enterprise through tight integration with all Cubic ERP modules.

Key features of the External Object Manager include:

  • an object repository where users can create, organize and manage virtually any type and number of electronic documents and files including CAD images and PLC programs

  • the ability to organize engineering documents in many ways from simple, hierarchical organization to complex, multi-dimensional relationships

CAD and PLM Integration

Cubic Engineering Data Management delivers an engineering data import toolset that accepts part definitions and part attributes from external CAD or PLM systems and automatically populates part master and manufacturing BOM structures used by Cubic ERP for materials management and production operations. Using this toolset, Cubicorp develops, delivers and supports robust integration with popular CAD and PLM solutions sold by industry leaders such as Autodesk, Parametric Technologies Corporation, and MatrixOne.

The engineering data import facility of Cubic Engineering Data Management provides a GUI toolset that includes the following key features:

  • pre-built workflow-based process definition for data transformation

  • pre-built data mapping templates

  • default tables for static data attributes

  • ECN/ECO workflow integrator with single sign-on to support workflow across systems
